Jim Hallers
After a successful twenty-five year career in Information Technology, Jim built his first sports bar and restaurant, Tailgators Pub & Grill, in 2009. Since then he has built, acquired and/or sold over a dozen restaurants and bars in the greater Magnolia / Woodlands area including co-founding The Republic Grille in 2014 and founding Citizens Grill in 2019. His newest restaurant concept, Good Charlie’s Oyster Bar & Seafood Kitchen opened in March 2023 on FM1488 at Old Conroe Road. He is a past president of the Montgomery County Restaurant Association (2012-2014) and board member of the Texas Restaurant Association (2011-2022) where he continues to serve the board in an ex-officio capacity.Jim has lived in Texas since 1979, having relocated from the Chicago area. He moved to the Magnolia area in 2001 and has three children who have graduated from MISD.
